* Slight increase in the banks’ balance sheet total as at 31 March 2007

The balance sheet total of the banks established in Luxembourg reached EUR 860.797 billion as at 31 March 2007 compared to EUR 846.572 billion as at 28 February 2007, which represents a 1.68% increase. The number of banks registered on the official list as at 30 April 2007 remained unchanged at 155 entities. The number of people employed by Luxembourg credit institutions totalled 25,177 as at 31 March 2007, which represents a growth of 1,440 (+6%) over a year and of 425 (+1.7%) compared to 31 December 2006.
