Further consultation on the Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism * Further consultation on the Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism

On the 18 September 2007 the Commission issued the Handbook and Rule Book for consultation for a two month period. The Commission has now examined all of the responses received and revised the Handbook and Rule Book to take account of the points made. The Commission will be issuing feedback to respondents shortly.

A further consultation on the revised Rule Book and Handbook has been instigated today with members of the Joint Anti-Money Laundering Advisory Group. In order to expedite the consultation process and assist in reviewing the revised documents in this second phase, amendments incorporating responses and other changes are shown in a tracked changes format.

The Commission invites licenceholders to provide any comments they may have through their representative bodies. Any other interested parties are invited to send their comments direct to Paul Heckles at paul.heckles[at]fsc.gov.im by 29 February 2008.

The Handbook and the Rule Book can be found on the Commission’s website at: http://www.fsc.gov.im/doclibrary/condocs.xml
